About Us

School Finance Specialists

At Effervesce, we specialise in school financial planning and management, working with education leaders to connect vision to strategic financial planning so that dreams for children and young people can be realised.

We believe, very strongly, that our work is successful if we leave a team better informed and working well together, with an approach to strategic financial planning that works.

The school budget needs to be spent on children and young people and their learning. We can review your current plans and processes or work with your senior team to develop financial planning with meaning and integrity. We can help you improve financial health, efficiency and budget management or support you in your strategic planning so that your budget works to deliver your vision. We can provide training to build capacity or provide an expert pair of hands when time is short.

  • We will help you understand what you need to make the best of your school’s finances
  • We will give you the support to deliver this in an ever-changing sector
  • We will help you make sure the right skills, strategy, plans and processes are in place.

Our work with schools and academies, combined with our experience in central and local government gives us a unique insight into the fair allocation of public funds for education. We understand the processes, the regulations and the policy intentions. We understand the language and the complexities. These are challenging times. Understanding how the system works is vital to getting the most for children and young people.

A small expert team, with depth and connection

The world of school finance can be a mysterious place. Leadership roles in local and central government together with experience in working directly with schools of all shapes and sizes allows us to make sense of the complexity and find a tailored solution.

We are developing associate relationships with a group of professionals who can bring a different perspective to our work. This includes colleagues with recent headship experience, skills in governance and strategic planning, accountancy in the commercial sector and front-line school business management work.

Connecting curriculum and finance is a key part our work and we are excited that the team reflects that.

We aim to build a powerful network of professionals and organisations who can help school leaders achieve real value for money in specific aspects of their provision, whether that is their use of technology, making the most of buildings and facilities, managing change in staffing and structures or developing an income generation or community confidence strategy.

We want to be certain that those we work with will deliver the quality we expect and that we share the same values. We are taking some time so that we get this right.

Watch this space for developments.
